Language of Non-communication
Antonioni’s recent death brought back memories of watching L’Avventura.
I’d say that the film was a thriller with a missing person, a chase scene, a dramatic climax, and a harrowing conclusion. Of course, saying this before actually seeing the film would be rather disappointing since it doesn’t represent any of those elements in a conventional way.
What sticks in your melded mind after watching his films is the relapse of a coldness of forgotten love.
